Follow on Google News | League of Women Voters to Host Conversation on VOTING RIGHTS RESTORATION, March 29 in WPBThe in-person public event will be on Wednesday, March 29, 6:30 pm, at Gaines Park, 1501 N. Australian Avenue in West Palm Beach (33401). The Community Conversation will feature a panel discussion of stakeholders who are able to address the most important issues affecting people impacted by the criminal justice system, including returning citizens. Currently, the state of Florida has no statewide database or one-stop system in place to give returning citizens assurances about their voting eligibility and/or flag those who attempt to register to vote by genuine mistake before penalties are handed down.
