Follow on Google News | ![]() Teen Author and Filmmaker Nichelle Joi Becomes the Newest Talent Represented by Synergy PR ServicesBy: Nichelle Joi The youth author from Chicago has authored books for most of her life with her first book being published at age 8 titled The Joys of Writing. Now entering her junior year in high school, Nichelle already has four published works total under her belt including: The Great Adventures: The Mystery of the Missing Artifacts, Beautiful Brown Child, and My Camera and Me. Her work has featured in the African American Literary Festival at Chicago's Harold Washington Library and The Chicago Citizen newspaper. As an established author, Nichelle's goal "is to really inspire the upcoming generation through my books and to encourage others to create and write stories of their own." Nichelle is also gaining momentum in the film industry and already has an award-winning track record. She recently won the Richards High School Film Festival Best Short Film for her short film, Bittersweet. As an up-and-coming filmmaker she states, "I'm overly grateful and thankful for the opportunity to be able to enter my film in festivals like these, and even to have the privilege of being able to make films at all. The only way I can go from here is up, and I can't wait to see what comes next in my competitive experience."
