Businesses still have time to get with the remote work program, says CEO

AUSTIN, Texas - March 1, 2023 - PRLog -- It's not too late for businesses that have taken a hard stance against remote work to reconsider their position, according to the CEO of a recruitment service and online jobs board. Rather, he says there's still time to turn the tide and win back the favor of employees who may have already begun looking for alternative jobs that are more in-line with their work-life balance ideals.

"We're already three months into 2023, and all RTO has done is create a seemingly never-ending battle between employers and employees," said Joseph Boll, RemoteWorker.jobs CEO. "But it's not too late for business leaders to get with the program and save themselves time, energy and hassle by offering at least some form of remote work or other flexible working options."

Remote Worker is an online jobs board and resource website for remote workers, remote work jobseekers, and hiring managers, employers and HR personnel seeking to recruit and hire the top talent for remote positions.

As predicted last year by companies like Remote Worker and similar forward-thinking groups, the return-to-office mandates being pushed by some businesses continues to hit a brick wall at every turn. In most cases, employees strongly push back against it. In some high-profile cases, hundreds of workers have even gone as far as to issue public letters or petitions against it. In other cases, where employees have no choice but to accept, it has come with losses in the form of workers either quitting rather than returning, or shifting to a phenomenon being called "Quiet Quitting", where they dramatically dial down their productivity while actively looking for other employment opportunities.

"Workers that feel resentful, or feel that their employer does not have their best interest at heart, are bound to leave the company sooner or later," Boll said. "As we've warned from last year, this only does a disservice to the employer, when instead you could easily resolve the issue by keeping some form of remote work permanent."

Although early speculation about an upcoming recession prompted worry about how the workforce would be impacted, time has shown that workers still refuse to let up on remote work privileges — and rightly so, given the many benefits countless studies have proven it offers.

"Offering remote work is the solution that works, and the solution that should be adopted by businesses that want to succeed in the long run," Boll said.
