SOUTHWARK, U.K. - Feb. 15, 2023 - PRLog -- At just 16 years old, Vedant J Maheshwari is making a difference in the fight against sexual assault. With a mission to empower young people with the skills to defend themselves, Vedant's recent "Shakti Mission (" reached over 1,000 students, teaching them practical self-defense techniques. The term "Shakti" is Sanskrit for "power" or "energy" and symbolises the manifestation of inner strength and creativity.

Born in Mumbai and raised in London, Vedant has been training in Kung Fu for 6 years and has published an Amazon bestseller, "Kung Fu - Everyone's Invited: 8 Smart Self-Defense Techniques You Must Know. (" However, he believes the most impactful way to share his skills is through personal visits to schools, which have received exceptional response.

With over 125,000 sexual assaults against women reported annually in England and Wales, and many more going unreported, Vedant's initiative couldn't come at a better time. The actual number of sexual assaults is likely much higher, as many victims do not report these crimes due to fear, shame, or a lack of confidence in the justice system.

"Your most important person should be you," says Vedant. "You owe it to yourself to learn basic self-defense." His passion and drive to tackle this critical societal issue is inspiring, making the "Shakti Mission" a valuable initiative in the fight against rising sexual assault cases worldwide.

With plans to expand the mission and reach even more students, Vedant's mission to empower the next generation is sure to leave a lasting impact.
