SHELBY, N.C. - Feb. 6, 2023 - PRLog -- LAWNDALE, NORTH CAROLINA:  NC Kikos announced today out of 90 total applicants it was awarded an $8,000 Grant from WNC AgOptions in partnership with WNC Communities and NC Cooperative Extension Director Greg Trawick  to expand the information stored inside the Radio Frequency Identification Chips used to register its goats with the National Kiko Registry (NKR).

NC Kikos provides Registered Breed Stock selected from Top Bloodlines to discerning buyers that are seeking higher output results with faster weight gains, less birthing involvement, and greater parasite resistance when breeding 100% Purebred and 100% New Zealand Kiko Meat Goats.

NC Kikos registers its Top Bloodline Pedigrees on NKR's central database to document the birth weight, birth date, Sire, Dam, color, 10-year genealogy history, and percentage bloodline ratio of Kiko along with a unique Radio Frequency ID Chip number, Scrappie Tag number, and if desired DNA test results.

NCKikos planned Identity Verification System will streamline and enhance the registration process provided to NKR by allowing the breeder to electronically store additional data about the animal's genealogy, nutritional and vaccine history using the unique identifier housed inside the RF ID Chip.  NC Kikos RF Id chip technology will be expanded and enhanced to not only show an ID number but to also electronically organize Chain Of Custody, History, Breeder Contact and Information, Nutritional History, Immunization History, and Birthing Data.  The existing registration system will continue to be used as is with more information provided, and the transfer of data will be electronic and more easily verified with the animal's Pedigree.

NC Kikos plans to enhance its Kiko Cash Verification System to streamline settlement between buyer and seller, electronically store more data on each animal, and explore facial recognition technology to monitor animal body temperature to alert owners of potential health needs as well as housing data on a decentralized blockchain electronically for greater accuracy and verification.
