Help Filipino Teacher Anais Gimeno get life-changing surgery: GoGetFunding Launched

LOS ANGELES - Jan. 25, 2023 - PRLog -- Anais Gimeno, a Master's Degree holder in Education from the Philippines, has launched a GoGetFunding campaign to raise funds for bladder augmentation surgery. Anais was born with a stage 4 left kidney and a stage 1 right kidney, and at a young age was rushed to the National Kidney Institute in the Philippines, where a hole was made under her navel to alleviate her condition. Despite the surgery, Anais still suffers from inborn urinary incontinence and must wear a modified garter with plastic or diapers to hold her urine.

Despite her struggles, Anais is determined to live a normal life and continue teaching. She is currently raising funds through a GoGetFunding campaign to pay for her bladder augmentation surgery, set to take place on April 20, 2023. The procedure is costly and not covered by insurance, which is why Anais and her family are reaching out to the community for support. They hope to raise enough funds to cover the cost of the surgery, as well as any post-operative expenses and rehabilitation costs.

Anais has been a dedicated teacher for many years, and her current condition has not stopped her from continuing to do what she loves. She has been working as a substitute teacher in a mountainous area of the Philippines, where the terrain can be challenging. In spite of her medical condition, she has been determined to carry on with her work and not let it get in the way of her fulfilling her passion for teaching.

"With the help of this surgery, I hope to break down the barriers and stigmas surrounding urinary incontinence and inspire others to never give up on their dreams, no matter the odds against them,"  said Anais.
