Navy - One Deaf Dog's Foster Journey
Navy is a deaf 2 year old Blue Australian Cattle Dog. After 536 days in foster care, alot of ups and downs he is now ready to find is forever home.
When we were discussing what posts we would do for today we always had one dog in mind – Navy
Not just because he came into care with Hear No Evil Australian Deaf Dog Rescue which changed his life for the better, but also because of his journey while he has been in our care. There have been so many ups and downs and windy paths for this 2-year-old Deaf Australian Cattle Dog that we really didn't know where we would end up.
Fostering a dog who struggles with behavioural issues can be one of the most challenging things any animal lover will ever experience. But more than that, it can also, undoubtedly, be one of the most rewarding and defining experiences that life has to offer.
Luckily for Navy, he had a foster carer that was 1000% committed to changing his life and getting him to where he is now….READY FOR ADOPTION
Navy's foster carer journey gives an amazing insight into just how committed volunteer foster carers can be in helping deaf and special needs dogs. Their story can be found here.
Navy's journey isn't finished yet…the rescue is now looking for the next SPECIAL PERSON to change Navy's life by giving him the forever home he thoroughly deserves.
This special deaf dog means the world to so many in the rescue because he has had to overcome so many hurdles. It may have taken 536 days but he has proven that with LOVE, COMPASSION, AND COMMITMENT from a foster carer, anything is possible.
Navy has strict MUST HAVE criteria for his new home and family. We know that it won't be easy but we truly believe that there is UNICORN ADOPTION HOME out there for him. We just have to search high and low to find it. Navy's adoption profile can be found below.
