Saudi Arabia's Progress in Automation Technology and Automated Manufacturing

BANGALORE, India - Jan. 18, 2023 - PRLog -- Saudi Arabia has been investing in advanced manufacturing technology as part of its broader economic diversification efforts. Some key areas where the country has made significant progress include automation technology and automated manufacturing.

One example of this is the development of the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (https://www.kapsarc.org/) (KAPSARC), which is a research institute focused on advanced energy technologies. The center has a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that uses automation and advanced manufacturing technologies to produce a range of energy-related products, including solar panels and wind turbine components.

Another example is the establishment of the National Industrial Clusters Development Program (https://www.ic.gov.sa/en/) (NICDP), which is a government initiative aimed at promoting the growth of key industries in the country, including advanced manufacturing. The NICDP has supported the development of several industrial clusters across the country, including the Advanced Manufacturing and Technology Cluster in Riyadh, which is focused on developing technologies such as 3D printing and robotics.
