U.S Motor Ranking 2022

The new Motor ratings for 2022 have just been released by RealRate.

These are the top three Motor companies in the U.S., measured by Economic Capital Ratio:

1. GENTEX – 496.85%
2. LEATT  – 408.31%
3. KANDI TECHNOLOGIES GROUP – 325.02%

Founded in 1974, Gentex is American motor electronics and technology company. They are based in Michigan. They have a revenue of €1.7 billion. Based in Durban, South Africa, Leatt are relatively new players on the market, having started operating in 2001. They have a revenue of €72 million. Based in China, Kandi Technologies are a battery and electric vehicle manufacturer. They were also founded recently, in 2002, and have a revenue of €91 million.

16 companies achieved the 'Top Rated' award.

CEO Dr. Holger Bartel: "The U.S. motor industry is huge, with the total value of manufacturing reaching $100.9 billion in 2022.

"9.2 million U.S. vehicles were produced in 2021. This was an increase on the previous year, with 8.8 million vehicles being produced in 2020, a 19% drop from 2019.

"A colossal 923,000 Americans work in motor vehicles and parts manufacturing, and an even bigger 1,251,600 are employed by automobile dealers.

"The revenue of U.S. motor vehicle and parts dealers was a gigantic $1.53 trillion as of 2021."
