Dr. Mahtani Supports Death Penalty Abolishment Decision From Zambian President

LUSAKA, Zambia - Jan. 10, 2023 - PRLog -- On the special occasion of Africa Day, President of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema, announced that he is planning to abolish the death penalty row. This decision receives significant positive response from businessmen, leaders and people alike. Noted businessman, philanthropist and charity worker Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani extended his full support towards the decision. Dr. Rajan Mahtani stated that death penalty as a concept is archaic and majority of the nations across the globe have already abolished this cruel, inhumane and degrading practice. In Zambia too, the last death penalty was given in 1997 when the person was executed and since then, Presidents have been using mercy prerogatives to avoid death penalty. As such, it is high time to abolish this archaic law and the decision from the Zambian President is a step in the right direction.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani further said that the Zambian President and his government will need significant support towards making this announcement a reality.
