"Born To Be Bad" by Barbara Anne Machin is published

A young woman learns how to hide her psychotic tendencies

About the Book:

This book tells of a young woman who was found to have killed as a child. She was detained in various mental institutes, and then on to prison. It shows how she learned to control herself and whether or not prison reformed her.

About the Author:

Barbara Anne Machin was born in 1940 and is the youngest of eight children. She is married and has one son, and recently celebrated her diamond wedding anniversary. She has always been interested in writing but has never attempted to publish before. A friend and her husband encouraged Barbara to send her trilogy of stories to a publisher. She writes more for a hobby and has worked all her life and still works part-time.  She has held many managerial positions in large companies and does not like to be idle.

This is Barbara's ninth book.  She has written "A Beloved Cousin" (2019), "Shadow of Guilt" (2020), "Don't Look Back" (2020), "The Crime that Never Was" (2020), "Nowhere to Hide" (2020) and "Enemies United" (2021), "By Virtue Fall" (2021) and "The Flawed Child" (2022).

Excerpt from the Book:

"If only she could kill her mum and gran, she thought, though Angela wasn't sure she wanted them dead. She just wanted them to suffer as she had in prison. Angela was surprised her good side had popped up on its own. That was unusual, she thought as she forced it back in place. Then she stopped and wondered where her dad was living. He hadn't even sent her a letter like Mum and Gran. Never mind, she needed to concentrate on the first part of her plan. It would not be good to mix them together. That way you won't make mistakes and that she didn't intend to do. One thing at a time, she reminded herself."
