Follow on Google News | Konkol's New Fantasy Novel, The Crumbling City, Invites Deeper Journey Into Fallen WorldBy: J.R. Konkol This new installment continues the saga that began with Citadel of the Fallen, in which a group of teenage students exploring the rainforest discover that events have already been set into motion that threaten to destroy their entire civilization. Their journey represents a true coming of age as they are forced to grow up quickly and step into the roles their parents and teachers can no longer fill. The series is written to appeal to both young adult and adult readers. It has earned two PenCraft Book Awards. Now readers of the Fallen ask, will friends and enemies, both old and new, set aside their differences and come together to fight the demon that threatens to destroy them all? In his youth, author J.R. Konkol was an avid Dungeons & Dragons player. Not content to simply play games, Konkol created and published his first Role-Playing Game (RPG), Of Gods and Men, in the early 1990s. He has been running games within that setting ever since and returned to writing with the hope of sharing those stories with a wider audience. The novels of the series grew out of the Of Gods and Men RPG. Konkol has developed a Wiki of the Fallen to allow readers of the series to delve more deeply into the world of the Fallen and its lore. It is available on his website and includes a Bestiary and Book of Summaries. The Fallen Triology, a new e-book box set of the first three titles in the series, Citadel of the Fallen, Gathering of the Fallen, and Flight of the Fallen, was released in November 2022, making it a perfect time for new readers to enjoy the saga from the beginning.
