MUMBAI, India - Dec. 1, 2022 - PRLog -- After a lot of suffering and distress, she decided to donate her kidney to save him. Eventually, now, they are both free from this suffering. One can't think of a more romantic tale. Sometimes organ transplants are the only way one can save a life. To increase awareness about organ transplants and help the needy, Transplants-Foundation, a transplant organization that specializes in organ transplants in Mumbai, has been built.

Leo also expressed his gratitude to the Kochi, Kerala, medical staff for doing the kidney transplant so quickly. Leo also discussed the importance of raising awareness about organ donation in the same Twitter thread, noting that there are more than 500,000 people in need of kidney transplants. Leo also mentioned that this organ transplant took place after 98 painful dialysis sessions, which was very saddening for the family.

Leo claimed that the family spent less than Rs. 15,000 on the entire treatment, with the insurance company covering 99.9% of the cost. His parents are the oldest kidney donors and recipients at the Kochi hospital, both being close to 70 years old.

Leo has specifically mentioned that cardiac clearance is important, and age alone is not enough. An organ donation requires two months of extensive testing and approval from all the department doctors.
