Breaking down barriers: Healthy Air Technology co-founder wins Business Woman of the Year Award

LONDON - Nov. 22, 2022 - PRLog -- Healthy Air Technology's co-founder, Chunli Cao, has been announced as the winner for the 2022 SME Hertfordshire Business Awards (https://eventsandpr.co.uk/sme-hertfordshire-business-awards/2022-finalists/) in the category of Business Woman of the Year, gaining acknowledgment for her dedication to making revolutionary contributions in the engineering field.

Healthy Air Technology (https://healthyairtech.com/) is an air purification company that designs and manufactures high-quality and effective air cleansing solutions.

With products that have been developed to break down pollutants, bacteria and viruses, Healthy Air Technology has set out to protect people against the effects of air pollution.

Having been recognised with the award, winning against seven other brilliant leaders, positively reflects Chunli's hard work and achievements, particularly in such a well-respected industry.

"As a woman working in such a male-dominated sector, I am passionate about breaking down barriers, and I am thrilled to have won an award that celebrates women with similar goals," says Chunli.

Not only is Chunli an inspiring individual for representing women in engineering, but the effort and resilience that's gone into progressing Healthy Air Technology from Chunli and the team is outstanding.

Having achieved a PhD in Engineering, Chunli is now a chartered engineer with over 25 years of experience. She has channelled her in-depth knowledge and expertise into crafting leading technology that prioritises sustainability and health.

With 2.4 billion people (https://www.who.int/health-topics/air-pollution#tab=tab_2) exposed to air pollution and 7 million (https://www.who.int/health-topics/air-pollution#tab=tab_2) premature deaths annually, according to the World Health Organisation, there needs to be efforts in place to reduce these health-related risks and provide cleaner air for all.

Chunli saw a gap in the market to create products that can help people combat air pollution, and her long-standing background in engineering mixed with her passion for sustainability enabled her to co-found Healthy Air Technology by turning technological innovation into a line of products – the quality has been impressive enough to earn a Red Dot Award for its design.

Chunli also focuses on how to help other businesses align with sustainability, and pays particular attention to UN development goals (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/sustainable-dev...) in an attempt to encourage global action.

She adds: "I would like to contribute to tackling the gender imbalance in the STEM industry, and I hope I can be a part of that story in doing so."
