DeKalb woman seeking votes in Fab Over 40 contest

DEKALB, Ill. - Nov. 19, 2022 - PRLog -- Margaret Brigham, is competing in Fab Over 40
The Palatine, Illinois native moved to DeKalb in August with her Fiancé, Tom Kean, and their 4 children.
Known to her friends and colleges as Maggie, Margaret works from home as a Senior Live Chat Advisor in the Admissions department of Colorado Technical University, an online college owned by Perdoceo Education Corporation. She is a 1996 graduate of Palatine High School, earned her AA with Education emphasis in 2005 from Harper College, and her BA in Applied Behavioral Sciences from National Louis University in 2008.
She is a quarterfinalist and free daily voting for the contest will resume at noon central/10 am Pacific Monday, November 21. Also, paid Hope votes are donated to NBCF. The winner receives $40,000, a spa-cation, and a two-page spread in NewBeauty magazine. If chosen, Margaret intends to invest the prize money locally to hold their wedding in July, 2023. Although a second marriage for them both, this will be their 1^st church wedding. Both previously eloped, and Maggie finalized her divorce Pro-Se May 2003, getting a declaration of nullity from the Archdiocese of Chicago in September, 2003. She is still settling on a local Diocese of Rockford Parish after being a parishioner since her baptism 44 years ago with St Theresa Church in Palatine. There, she was active in ministry including RCIC Catechist, Minister of Care, Lector, and Eucharistic Minister.
Maggie states, "I am over 100 lbs. down and still improving. Learning joy after 20 years putting my daughter 1st as a single mom. My partner values me for all I do and I take great pride in acknowledging those I love!  Covid took his 1st wife in 2020, blending our family before planning our wedding. We are raising 4 young adults 18-25 years old, including getting our girls through college! My dad has been fighting cancer this last year and I want so much for him to walk me down that aisle! The $40K will help me plan the dream day to celebrate our love with my entire family! Been cheering my dad fighting for a year, and now my fiancé's brother's cancer battle!"
Of the contest so far which has already spanned 5 ½ weeks and 4 group cuts to top 20, top 10, top 5, and then quarterfinal results, she also stated "You never know who's life you've really touched and it's humbling when you see people step up for you that you would have never expected."
Fab Over 40 is an online people's choice competition in which the contestants are voted on in weekly elimination rounds, with the final vote being Dec. 15.
