COPENHAGEN, Denmark - Nov. 11, 2022 - PRLog -- "Hello and welcome to CymbalONE. I have a 14-inch hi-hat from Dream Cymbals. This sample is from the Dark Matter series, and it makes sense when you look at the surface of it. These are some relatively thick hi-hat cymbals and due to its unlathed cymbals, it has a rather special and slightly muted sound, but it is actually a rather funky sound too."

This is how Gunnar Kristiansen presents one of his cymbals to customers on his online shop CymbalONE, where he sells cymbals and drum equipment.

He has been filming videos of all the cymbals he sells on his online shop since 2014. On the webshop, the videos serve a unique purpose.

Gunnar explains: "It is crucial that the customers can hear how the cymbals sound, because two otherwise identical cymbals never sound exactly alike."

Because drummers do not all have the same playing style, he plays the cymbals in a variety of ways in the videos on the website. Customers will be able to hear exactly how each cymbal sounds. They can't do that in a traditional online store, which is where Gunnar's idea of unique videos shines, because you can simply play the video and hear if it's the cymbal you're looking for.

Gunnar says, "I wouldn't sell nearly as well if I didn't have the videos. I am pretty sure of that. Becuase without the videos, I'd just be like everyone else, and my only competitive factor would be price. With my video-based concept, I achieve something new and different, where it is both about making the customer feel confident, but also about being able to explore among a large number of cymbals from the comfort of one's own couch."
