VanderWall Orthodontics Partners with WakeMed to Bring Stuffed Toys to Kids in The Hospital

RALEIGH, N.C. - Nov. 10, 2022 - PRLog -- Raleigh, NC: For kids going through medical treatment in the hospital, the holiday season can feel… not so bright. They're not at home to enjoy all the events that make the season magical — like Christmas lights, decorating (and eating!) sugar cookies, or opening presents under the tree. They might miss out on the familiarity and comfort of annual family gatherings or holiday festivities at school.

That's why VanderWall Orthodontics wants to bring a little comfort and joy to these kids this season. Dr. Clay VanderWall and his team are partnering with a local healthcare provider, WakeMed, to collect new stuffies for kids undergoing hospital treatments. Toys go a long way in bringing joy and relaxation —  and allow kids to just be kids for a little while despite their medical difficulties.

From now until Friday, December 9, 2022, patients and the public can drop off new stuffed animals at any of VanderWall Orthodontics' Raleigh, Durham, and Cary, NC orthodontic practices. As part of their Holiday Drive gifting toys and books, WakeMed will hand out donated stuffies to kids staying in Wake County pediatric departments, including kids at WakeMed Children's Hospital.
