Follow on Google News | CURE Childhood Cancer To Hold First Annual 'Catie's Gathering' Fundraiser in Moultrie, GaCatie's Gathering is an inspiring event benefiting Catie's Fund of CURE Childhood Cancer. The dinner features unique, individually- "The annual Catie's Gathering events reveal just how loving and generous the community is of South Georgia. This started as a single event, and now CURE holds up to five in the region," said Mandy Garola, vice president of CURE in South Georgia. "Our community wants more opportunities like these to support our mission to end childhood cancer. We're so grateful to our donors, sponsors and volunteers who work to make these gatherings successful." The funds raised are invested in CURE's research initiatives – specifically the Precision Medicine Program, which focuses on individualized treatments based on each child's genetic makeup. The funds also offer general support to patients and their families fighting childhood cancer. Sponsors of Catie's Gathering Moultrie include Ameris Bank, Procom Sales, Lasseter Motors, Judy and Mark Mobley, South GA Crop Insurance Inc, Stone's Home Center, Amber and Chip Sumner, and Carolyn and Stan Sumner.
