Wicked Tree Press is proud to announce the launch of their first project on KICKSTARTER.

MARY SHELLEY'S SCHOOL FOR MONSTERS: ORIGINS is a Kickstarter and Comic Con Exclusive comic that takes readers back 200 years ago and tells the story about what really happened to Mary Shelley and how Shel was created. ORIGINS is told in 28 gothic and gorgeous magic filled comic pages. It stands alone while also functioning as the prologue for the larger graphic novel (MARY SHELLEY'S SCHOOL FOR MONSTERS: LA LLORONA IN THE MACHINE) coming in 2023. Origins will only be available on Kickstarter and at live events.

A young Mary Shelley encounters an occult scientist, Dr. M, and a living book of spells, Necro (The Necronomicon), who accidentally split her into two versions of herself— One, the literary giant who goes on to write Frankenstein. The other, a supernatural girl, Shel, who spends her immortality fighting evil humans who exploit monsters.

After befriending Necro (a cute powerful version of the Necronomicon) and rescuing Frank, one of Dr. M's experiments, Shel starts a school for misunderstood monsters near Lake Geneva.
