WASHINGTON, Conn. - Oct. 21, 2022 - PRLog -- On Saturday, October 29th, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m., Bantam Cinema & Arts Center will celebrate its one-year anniversary at Washington Club Hall in Washington, Conn.

After significant renovations to the physical theater building and a very successful launch campaign, the newly created non-profit cinema group hosted a soft opening in the fall of 2021, held its first public event over Halloween Weekend with screenings of Night of the Living Dead, and then opened full-time in December 2021. Currently screening two different selections five days a week, Bantam Cinema & Arts Center has enjoyed a year of renewed vigor showcasing community and performing arts events in addition to films.

Tickets to the One Year Anniversary Celebration are $150/person and are available through the cinema website or in person at the cinema box office at 115 Bantam Lake Road in Bantam and are limited.

The event will feature hors d'oeuvres, a selection of beers, wines, and cocktails provided by Kent Falls Brewing Company, The Wine Trust, and Litchfield Distillery, and performances by local artists including classical guitarist Rob Piazza (Litchfield's Poet Laureate), Washington-based poet Susan A. Katz, and Pilobolus.

Bantam Cinema & Art Center is open Wednesdays through Sundays. Further information can be found, tickets for all events can be purchased, and donations can be made at Contact the venue at or 860-361-6066.
