Upcoming Fall Art Events at Howard Finster's Paradise Garden

SUMMERVILLE, Ga. - Oct. 13, 2022 - PRLog -- Craving some creative experiences this fall? Look no further than Howard Finster's 4-acre art environment in Summerville, GA. In October and November, plan a trip to Paradise for an outdoor painting class or a full-day, yoga and art-making Creative Spirit Retreat.

On Wednesday, October 19, Thursday, November 10, and Saturday, November 12th, from 1-3 pm, Summerville painter and Paradise Garden staffer, Donnie Davis, will be leading plein air painting classes. Registrants are welcome to bring their own materials, though paint, canvas, easels, and brushes will be provided. Weather permitting, classes will take place outside, or in the case of inclement weather, will be moved indoors to Paradise Garden's Art & Learning Center.

Classes are $25 for Paradise Garden members and Chattooga County residents or $30 for not-yet-members. Pre-registration is required and spaces are limited! Ideal for those 18+.

For those wanting a full creative restart, Paradise Garden is offering a Creative Spirit Retreat on Saturday, October 29 from 10:30 am - 2 pm.  The day will begin with an hour of yoga, lead by Chattanooga-based yoga instructor, Cyndi Allen, followed by an hour of art-making with Chattanooga-based artist, Kimberly Dawn Crowder. Lunch will be provided in Paradise Garden's Art & Learning Center. Registrants are also invited to stick around after lunch to enjoy the closing reception of Eric Legge's exhibit, "the secret is," located in the Paradise Garden Visitor Center & Museum. Refreshments will be provided! The Creative Spirit Retreat is $35, with lunch and art materials provided. Spaces for the Retreat are limited, so register today!
