South Africa's Scarce and Technical Skills Gap Filled by Sisekelo Graduates
A pioneering South African learning institution is beginning to plug the Skills Gap and has recently put more than 140 skilled graduates and interns into the 4IR workplace.
By: Sisekelo Institute of Business & Technology
The 102 graduates, alongside a further 20 interns undertook accredited training in various scarce and critical skills through Sisekelo, and found their way to the Institute by way of companies looking to up-skill their most valuable assets - their employees.
Large corporations and companies like Astron Energy, ZTE, Lighthouse and Rentokil were among the sponsors at the graduation ceremony. Many new graduates and interns will find employment and apply their skills at companies like these looking to equip their current workforce with 4IR skills.
Sabelo Myeni, the dynamic driving force behind Sisekelo Institute of Business & Technology, is on a mission to ensure that South African youths and graduates are equipped for the modern workplace with the skills that will not only make them sought-after but ensure that these skills lead to placement with companies paying top skills-related salaries.
"Sisekelo offers a wide range of high -quality courses, learnerships and relevant business and technology skills, where we align technology with the strategic business goals of our clients," says Myeni .
