HOUSTON - Oct. 11, 2022 - PRLog -- Halo House Foundation Presents its 12th Annual Gala

Houston, Texas – Halo House Foundation invites Houston and surrounding communities to attend its upcoming annual fundraiser, "Mahalo Fest: Halo House 12th Annual Gala" on Saturday, November 12, 2022. This annual event raises critical funding to support Halo House's general operations and special projects benefiting blood cancer patients, their families, and caregivers. From 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM, the event features cocktails, dinner, entertainment, and a live auction. Advanced tickets are required and can be purchased on our website for $175 each which includes complimentary valet parking. The event will be held at the Ballroom at Bayou Place located at 500 Texas Avenue.

This year's gala honoree is Jed Manocherian whose mission is to "help end human suffering". He is the founder and chairman of ACT for NIH (Advancing Cures Today at the National Institute of Health). His leadership and determination has helped increase NIH funding for biomedical research by $15 billion which is a 50% increase to NIH's budget over the last seven years.

Halo House Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization that supports access to lifesaving treatment at the Texas Medical Center by providing affordable fully furnished, private apartments and a compassionate community of support for blood cancer patients and their caregivers. Halo House apartments are available for $25 a day to blood cancer patients and their caregivers who must live near the Texas Medical Center while receiving weeks to months of cancer treatment.
