Pawsitive Healing Veterinary Rehabilitation and Acupuncture expands space, celebrates anniversary

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Sept. 27, 2022 - PRLog -- Dr. Carla Rodrigues, DVM, CCRP, CVA, CVMMP, and owner of Pawsitive Healing, Veterinary Rehabilitation and Acupuncture in Jacksonville, Fla., recently held a two-year anniversary event at her business in historic San Marco at 1617 Thacker Avenue in Jacksonville. Dr. Rodrigues recently expanded with 1,050-square-feet of additional space on the second floor of her existing practice while specializing in creating a home environment for pets and their owners. She specializes in veterinary rehabilitation and arthritis management, laser therapy, injury and surgical recovery, muscle relaxation, hydrotherapy, strengthening exercises, massage, acupuncture, Reiki- Energy Healing, herbal, integrative, and traditional medicine.

On Saturday, September 24, anniversary event guests included pet owners, practice staff, friends, and supporters who gathered with refreshments and tours of the increased facility.

Dr. Rodrigues attributes the continued success of her practice to her beliefs and dedication while helping to restore comfort and functionality to her patients and encourage their owners. "I am seeing an increased great need in treating young, injured pets to arthritic senior dogs. My clients have become a close group of responsible pet owners, and a part of the happiness and fulfillment that comes with alternative and integrative medicine for canines," she said.

Dr. Rodrigues collaborates with pet owners' primary veterinarians to ensure consideration of every aspect of a pet's health, happiness, and existence as soulful beings. She is a proud Portuguese American, born and raised in Northern New Jersey. After graduation from her alma mater, Montclair State University in New Jersey with a Biology degree, she moved to the Caribbean, where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Ross University in Saint Kitts. During this time, Dr. Rodrigues became immersed in large animal and exotic pet medicine with monkeys, sea turtles, wildlife in the plains of South Africa, zoo animals, birds and reptiles, and more. Dr. Rodrigues focuses on alternative pet wellness and medicine and is certified in Reiki energy healing, canine rehabilitation, veterinary acupuncture, and spinal manipulation which is animal chiropractic.

Dr. Rodrigues completed her clinical year of veterinary school at the University of Minnesota and practiced medicine in California and North Carolina before moving to Jacksonville in 2017.  Dr. Rodrigues is a board member with First Coast Cultural Center in Jacksonville Beach, Fla. and resides in Jacksonville. She is also a published author.
