From Misclassification to Declassification: Petition Launched for Misclassified American Indians

American Indian Non-Profit, Urban Indian Heritage Society, Spearheads Petition of Demands for Congressional and White House Level Action

HAMPTON, Va. - Sept. 24, 2022 - PRLog -- Hampton, VA-- The Urban Indian Heritage Society (UIHS) launched their petition for the misclassified American Indian via social media platforms (Clubhouse, Twitter, Instagram, etc)  to kick off their push for 100,000+ signatures for immediate Congressional and White House action for their Reclassification, Removal & Return demands.

Misclassification is the act of changing one's racial or social status unlawfully from one classification to another. For eighteen+ (18+) scores of years, American Indians were reclassified under the institutional US racial caste demographics as Colored, Negro, Black and currently African-American. Knowing this, UIHS is an American Indian non-profit organization that specializes in forensic genealogical research, family/tribal recognizance and direct service with misclassified Indians and their descendants/antecedents.

Urban Indian Heritage Society will be making public/special appearances all over the US for their thirty (30) day "push for the petition." Saturday, 15 October 2022, UIHS will culminate the last day of the petition push & will be featured in this year's Indigenous Peoples Day Parade taking place in New York, NY.

We are asking for all folks who are registered US voters to please sign and then forward the petition to three (3) additional registered voters. The petition is hosted via change.org and be be accessed at the link below:
