LANSING, Mich. - Sept. 21, 2022 - PRLog -- An eerie mansion, a sultry medium, a magician debunker, and a wacky cast of characters round out the short gothic/steampunk film Smoke & Mirrors. A commercial CDI project whereas iZotope, a software company wanted film footage for their worldwide demos. Instead of licensing footage they decided to create several scenes to be used in the demo. Directed and edited by Nathaniel Nose, known at CDI for being the visionary behind the third film in THE QUEST TRILOGY, The Christ Slayer. It was shot at the historic Dodge Turner Mansion in Lansing, Michigan. It was written by DJ Perry, extracted from his feature film script of the same name. It was produced by the CDI 'Tribe' and stars David Gries, Melissa Anschutz, Abby Perry, DJ Perry, Shane Hagedorn, Michael Walton, and Anthony Hornus. The result is a moody and often comedic story which a few good chills added in. The full script and story is in development at CDI to produce as a full feature film in the near future. The music was composed by Dennis Therrian and the director of photography was Jesse Aragon.
