Follow on Google News | Boys Hope Girls Hope Of St. Louis Announces 26th Annual Evening Of Hope GalaBy: Boys Hope Girls Hope of St. Louis Evening of Hope is the largest fundraising event of the year for BHGHSTL, raising more than $700,000 annually. Support from this event allows BHGHSTL to provide food, housing, education, mentoring, clothing, medical services, and extracurricular activities for all their scholars. The uniqueness of the BHGHSTL program includes the partnership with scholars and their families through high school graduation, post-secondary education and into their early careers. "The Evening of Hope is just that…providing hope to young people desiring the opportunity to reach their full potential in life," said Lisa Flavin. "And the evening is our opportunity; The evening will also recognize Graybar and Jim and Cheryl Mather for their commitment to BHGHSTL. Bill Mansfield, Senior Vice President, will accept the Fr. Sheridan Reflection of Hope Award on behalf of Graybar. The Mathers, who have supported BHGHSTL for over a decade, will be honored as the 2022 Heart of Hope recipients. Jim, a Partner at Rubin Brown, has served as board chair and on the executive committee, while Cheryl has volunteered with our scholars, providing meals and more. The gala includes a tour of St. Louis Aquarium, cocktail reception, dinner, and live auction. BHGHSTL makes a deep investment in a select number of high-potential youth who, at a significant rate, overcome challenging family circumstances and other systemic environmental risk factors to become high-performing individuals committed to bettering themselves and their communities.
