Holiday Sneaker Giveaway to Children in Virginia Beach Foster Care

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (December 16, 2022) - This year during the holiday season children in Virginia Beach's foster care will be stepping into the holidays in a special way. Hav a Sole in partnership with Connect With a Wish, Sergio Delavicci from John Wick 3, Foster Beauty Fashion Show, and The Chi Group will be helping to bring a smile to children in foster care.

The event will be an experiential shopping experience that allows youths to select their sneakers for the holiday season. Hav A Sole founded by Rikki Mendias was featured in Netflix's "The Home Edit," and has given away 35,000 sneakers since 2014 in 30 cities. Mendias states, "Our movement not only affects the individual who receives the shoes but it increases a sense of social responsibility with its young volunteers offering them a way to get involved in their community."

Sergio Delavicci, actor in John Wick 3 and the TV show Power and celebrity model is known for his philanthropic work throughout the United States. Delavicci mentors at-risk youths in hopes of helping them to break the cycle. Sergio is also a part of an initiative called, "Real Men Read," which helps to promote literacy with grade school students.

Foster Beauty Fashion Show is a prominent fashion show founded by husband and wife team, Ace and Ariana Foster. The veteran owned organization is empowering the community through its inclusive events while partnering with local colleges. Each event the Fosters create, a portion of the proceeds go to local charitable organizations.
