Call for Entries: The 2022 Lewton-Brain Foldform Competition for Metal Artists

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Sept. 14, 2022 - PRLog -- Metal artists across the globe are invited to enter the ninth annual Lewton-Brain Foldform Competition by October 30, 2022. This event is a survey of the evolution of foldforming techniques applied in the world today in jewelry, sculpture, architecture, functional objects, and unexpected applications. Artists will find the call for entries at www.foldforming.org/2022call.html .

Presenting the 2022 Jury

• Professor Charles Lewton-Brain: Artist Goldsmith, Educator, Foldforming Pioneer
• Alan Revere: Designer, Author, Educator
• Shawna Kulpa: Associate Publisher, MJSA Journal

The jury will look for a well-crafted use of foldforming techniques in the metal arts, in a fully realized work, with points for excellence of execution and bold explorations. Complexity carries weight, but so does creativity and fresh expression. Prizes will be provided once again by event sponsor Pepetools.

Truly a global event, last year's Lewton-Brain Foldform Competition attracted entries from metal artists in Scotland, Taiwan, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, South Korea, Switzerland, Uruguay, and across the United States. What will 2022 bring?
