LAKE MARY, Fla. - Sept. 13, 2022 - PRLog -- Markforged has launched a brand-new type of thermoplastic polymer called Smooth TPU 95A. This flexible and functional part can be used for things like drive belts or protective coverings plus more!

The global supply chain has been struggling with the production of flexible parts in low volumes. Traditional processes have proven too slow and expensive, requiring unique tooling that cost a lot to produce as well lead times which can be very long for these types goods. The newest generation of TPU, Smooth 95A delivers the benefits without all that annoying hassle. With a smooth surface and low stringing percentage it's an easy-to use material for Markforged 3D Printers.

Will my existing Markforged printer be able to print Smooth TPU 95A?

On the day of launch, Smooth TPU will be purchasable in our store and ready to print on the Mark Two (Gen 2) and Onyx Pro (Gen 2). The new material is also scheduled to be available in Q4 on Gen 2 Markforged Industrial Series printers (X3, X5, X7) and Gen 1 units that have upgraded to the latest A3648 extruder.

Please note, that a Composite Purge Kit (SKU: 21383) is required to print Smooth TPU successfully
