Pathfinder Labs and PVBLIC Foundation Join Forces to Launch Veteran Impact Donor Fund for Nonprofit AI-Technology Grants

NEW YORK - Sept. 7, 2022 - PRLog -- PVBLIC Foundation and the SDG Donor Fund, in partnership with Pathfinder Labs, today launched the Veteran Impact Donor Fund to offer nonprofit services the ability to do more for their communities, using artificial intelligence analytics to optimize programs based on impact. Contributions will provide technology grants to organizations for accessing critical tools to efficiently scale and improve the quality of services for transitioning military, veterans, and their families.

The Veteran Impact Donor Fund pools gifts from individuals, corporate giving, and foundations and facilitates year-round distribution to 501c3 organizations seeking quantitative insights on how their programs affect attributes such as resilience, stress, and motivation. The technology grant funds feedback data systems along with artificial intelligence processing to calculate standardized, unbiased measures for these traits, plus recommendations for increasing programmatic impact.

In creating a Donor-Advised Fund specifically for facilitating impact technologies, PVBLIC Foundation and Pathfinder Labs offer opportunities for making longer-term changes in nonprofits.

"Analysis multiplies the effect of every donation a nonprofit receives," said Elana Duffy, CEO and founder of Pathfinder Labs. "Impact metrics allow them to expand outreach, close gaps and reduce redundancies between what services are needed and what is offered, and fundraise through satisfying grant requirements. This fund lets organizations help more people more often, without touching their programming budgets."

The mission of increasing access to beneficial technology is a cornerstone of The Veteran Impact Donor Fund. To prioritize distribution, the fund limits grants to nonprofit programs with under $10 million in assets.

"Smaller services – everything from arts therapies to hiking groups to small business training – are the backbone of creating supportive, local communities," Duffy explains. "Unfortunately, these organizations often lack the expertise and technology to measure and report their impact, so they miss chances to grow. We want more organizations to help more people, and help quality programs truly thrive."

Selected organizations offer direct engagement with a mission supporting any of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as part of the global commitment towards combating poverty and inequality and creating a more prosperous future. Programs connected to Goals 3 (Health and Wellbeing), 8 (Work and Economic Growth), and 9 (Innovation and Industry) are emphasized as critical in reducing suicidality, homelessness, and unemployment among US veterans.

"Service members face substantial obstacles during their reintegration, but with the right help can become some of the greatest contributors to their larger communities," commented PVBLIC Foundation President Stephen Keppel. "In streamlining initiatives that are making this population healthier, happier, and more connected we are creating a blueprint for how technology and data can strengthen societies around the world."

The Veteran Impact Donor Fund opened for donations in September 2022 and expects to begin grant distribution early in Q4. Eligible nonprofits and interested donors can find more information, including the current wait list of recipients, on the Pathfinder Labs website.
