Follow on Google News | Tulsa Air and Space Museum Hosts CAF RISE ABOVE ExhibitA fully functional mobile movie theater features two compelling original short RISE ABOVE films that tell the story of the Tuskegee Airmen or the WASP, and the obstacles they both overcame to serve their country during WWII to inspire local kids.
Museum and Planetarium admission is $15 for adults, and $10 for children. The museum is open for this event Sep 8-10, 2022 from 9am-6pm. The CAF RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit is included with regular museum admission. Visiting children are given a free inspirational dog tag featuring the CAF RISE ABOVE's Six Guiding Principles©. These principles are based on the experiences and successes of the Tuskegee Airmen and the WASP ability to rise above the obstacles they faced in order to fly and fight for America: Aim High • Believe In Yourself • Use Your Brain • Be Ready To Go • Never Quit • Expect to Win "Our mission is "Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future," and we hope that this special traveling exhibit will inspire all visitors to believe in themselves and dream really big dreams!" shares Executive Director, Tonya Blansett. The Museum's new TUSKEGEE LEGACY Exhibition was opened a few weeks ago, in July (2022). The Tuskegee Legacy exhibition currently features specific Tuskegee Airmen with Oklahoma connections and their accomplishments. The museum is still seeking sponsorship to cover costs associated with bringing the RISE ABOVE exhibit to Tulsa.
