Charleston Sports Medicine Welcomes Blake Ohlson, MD

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Aug. 17, 2022 - PRLog -- We are excited to announce that our Charleston Sports Medicine team continues to grow with the addition of orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon Blake Ohlson, MD. Dr. Ohlson is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon fellowship trained in complex foot and ankle reconstruction. He has extensive experience treating orthopedic trauma, arthritis, deformity, and sports injuries of the lower extremity. A Cum Laude graduate from John Carroll University, Dr. Ohlson spent several years in the lab before deciding on a career in medicine. He realized an enormous amount of personal satisfaction through patient care and being able to fix things with his hands. His career in orthopedic surgery fulfilled that niche.

Dr. Ohlson completed his five-year residency in Orthopaedic Surgery in Kalamazoo, followed by a one-year fellowship in Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Union Memorial Hospital Baltimore, MD. Originally from a small suburb outside of Cleveland, Ohio, he moved to Charleston in 2007 and has been practicing in the Lowcountry for 15 years. He resides on Daniel Island with his wife and three children. In his free time, Dr. Ohlson spends time with his family, plays tennis, and produces and performs music. You can enjoy a Dr. Blake Ohlson musical performance across Charleston at popular venues such as The Windjammer, The Music Farm, The Pour House, and The North Charleston Coliseum. He currently runs and owns a professional recording studio. He has recorded and produced projects with his band, professional touring acts, and radio commercials.
