LAS VEGAS - Aug. 18, 2022 - PRLog -- The Fresh Foundation is hosting the 1st Annual Desert Bowl Jamboree on Saturday, August 27 from 9 am – 5 am. The football camp will be held at Cheyenne High School, 3200 W. Alexander Rd in North Las Vegas. Desert Jamboree will showcase local youth football players, highlight academic excellence, and provide community-oriented entertainment.

"We have hosted many similar events in the past, and this year, we are focused on getting more of the youth involved," said Calvin "Tito" Hudson, CEO & Founder of the Fresh Foundation. "This camp was created to help our youth build constructive lives. It's an excellent opportunity for them to have fun and make new friends."

"Our event will also be a platform to give the community a view of the world of youth football."

Desert Bowl Jamboree is one of a series of youth-oriented events that the Fresh Foundation is planning to host. Its goal is to create legacies that will inspire young people to come back and facilitate future events as a service to the community.

"We're stepping out of the box and showcasing our kids," Hudson said. "Hopefully, some of the youth will come back as volunteers when they get older."

"We also want parents to be active participants in the events we host."

Along with providing a vehicle to showcase the athletic prowess of Las Vegas' youth, Hudson stresses the importance of academic achievement. Through Fresh Foundation's 3.0 Impact Program, student athletes will receive recognition for their academic performance.

"We created the 3.0 Impact Program to recognize athletes who excel in the classroom," Hudson said. "The reality is that many of them might not receive athletic scholarships."

"Through the relationships that the Fresh Foundation is developing with Universities, we may be able to help them get academic scholarships instead."

Desert Bowl Jamboree will also feature other youth-oriented entertainment, including cheerleaders and the Las Vegas High Steppers, a legendary Drill Team and Drum Squad.

"COVID restrictions have prevented us from hosting these events for the last couple of years, but the environment is safer now," Hudson said. "We are looking forward to watching the kids have fun again."
