SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Aug. 15, 2022 - PRLog -- There's still time during Black Business Month for the community to support the PPGJ Press and bookstore as their go-to bookstore of choice. Both enterprises are Black woman-owned businesses and a preeminent resource for books representing the BIPOC community.

The first publication of the PPGJ Press was "Justice Makes a Difference: Miss Freedom Fighter, Esquire" which won coveted national awards and was a designated must-read selection for Black History Month by My Well Read Child. Many more books followed that received national recognition that are appropriate for children ages pre-school to high school.

The books at the PPGJ Bookstore feature the art, culture, and history of African Americans. They provide representation and celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion which are foundational life skills. Through its efforts, the bookstore is helping to increase reading scores, disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline, and introducing youngsters to new opportunities, career options, and STEM competencies.

The PPGJ Press and PPGJ Bookstore are essential resources for children's books, allowing youngsters to explore, discover and dream. The community can celebrate Black Business Month until the end of Aug. 2022 by purchasing PPGJ books in the bookstore, online (www.ppgjbookscom) , or the booklist available at https://bookshop.org/shop/plantingpeoplegrowingjustice to make it their bookstore of choice.
