Follow on Google News | Myrtle Beach Author Caleb Wygal to hold Pre-Launch Party for new novel at Benjamin's BakeryGrand Stranders can get signed copies of the much-anticipated release two days before the official release date
By: Franklin/Kerr Press "I do this as a "thank you" to locals who have been with me since the release of the first book in the series last year," Wygal said, referring to the first book in the series, Death on the Boardwalk. "They have been some of my biggest supporters, and I want for them to be among the first to read the new book." Why Benjamin's Bakery? "I like to mention local businesses in my books when I can do so favorably, and Benjamin's was one of the first I used at the beginning of Death on the Boardwalk," Wygal says. "They started having people come in who had discovered their business from the book until eventually I met the owner, Lee Zulanch, and their incredible staff and bakers. Since then, we've developed a bit of a friendship and partnership." Death on the Golden Mile takes place on one of Myrtle Beach's most exclusive residential areas. Filled with intrigue and surprises, the book takes the main character, Clark Thomas, to a dinner party in the midst of a tropical storm at an enormous oceanfront estate inhabited by a world-famous Hollywood movie composer. When tragedy strikes and the party goers find themselves cut off from the outside world, Clark finds himself in the middle of another murder investigation. The Myrtle Beach Mystery Series are fast, fun, clean, and easy beach reads. The books have been compared as a cross between Agatha Christie in their mystery and James Patterson in their pace. In the days following the event, Wygal has several book signings scheduled. He will be at Back Again Book Shop in Myrtle Beach on the date of the official release on August 23rd from 11-2 and at My Olive Shack in Surfside Beach the following day from 4-6 for a Books and Wine event. He also has an appearance planned at Barnes and Noble in Market Common on August 27th from 11 to 5 and then the following Saturday at Litchfield Books in Pawley's Island from 11 to 1. "Caleb has done it again. It's a new favorite!" Jordon Greene, publisher of Franklin/Kerr Press and the series said. Find out more about the book and author at https://calebwygal.com/ End
