30 Candidates Registered for Second Chamber of Commerce Politics in St. Johns Event, Aug. 11

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Aug. 9, 2022 - PRLog -- The second of two St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce Politics in St. Johns events has 30 local and state candidates preparing to meet the public, including U.S. Representative John Rutherford, State Representative Paul Renner, and U. S. Senate Candidate William Sanchez.

Politics in St. Johns St. Augustine will be held on August 11, 2022, at the Solomon Calhoun Center from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. The meet-and-greet event allows the citizens to meet and speak with candidates who are running for public office, ask questions, and learn more about the issues that will be on the ballot.

"We are so proud to be able to bring these events to the residents of St. Johns County," Isabelle Renault, President / CEO of the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce, said. "The record turnout from the residents who live throughout the county for these events reinforces our belief that we provide a platform for important discussions and decisions to be made."

According to Bob Porter, Chamber's Vice President, Public Policy, "The elected officials at every level of government make decisions that affect our lives, and I am happy to see so many people taking advantage of an opportunity that will help them make an informed decision when entering the voting booth."

Other attending candidates include three candidates running for county commission seat currently held by Sarah Arnold: LaShawnda Pinkney, Charles Labanowski, and Johnny Coe Counts, as well as Mara Macie, running for U. S. Representative against John Rutherford. Vice-Mayor Nancy Sikes-Kline, running for City of St. Augustine Commission-Seat 3/Mayor will be in attendance as well.
