PRLog -- For BTN's Scripting the Flip Black Theatre: Act III themed gathering at DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Detroit Downtown - Fort Shelby, the PEWARS is embedded into Phillip E Walker's academic presentation entitled "Teaching the Short Film as Virtual Theatre". This particular version of Scripting the Flip as a result of the Pandemic, explores the appropriateness of short film production replacing traditional live theatre production, as a tool of instruction - the new theatre education laboratory.
As examples of the short film's usefulness in entertainment education, this hour long lecture is supported by PhilsReel.com Hollywood talent demonstration reels displaying clips from some of Phillip's 97 official music videos, 65 short films, countless commercials, many popular video dance performances, as well as theatrical work headlined by his performance as the pivotal Musician character in the indie film industry's hottest new feature length movie, Moon Garden.
However, the presentation's most important examples of this educational approach will be his 5 short film screenings. They will include the live & in-person World Premieres of University of Southern California Freshman Stephanie Bell's "Dancing With Maleeah" and "2022 Black History Month - a Phillip E. Walker Video Memoir". Additionally shown during the session will be Walker's brand new "Juneteenth.Rocks"
, Andre Campbell's "Lew's Up First" and Walker Entertainment Academy's most successful film to date - Vahan Bedelian's 78+ award winning "WineGame". Further, on the day following the 2022 BTN conference's close (7/28/22), this particular Chaplinesque one-man-movie is scheduled to become available for Worldwide viewing online in Inland Empire Films at
https://StreamingFilmChannel.com.
With 1168+ California performance gigs or Worldwide on-screen appearances during his first 6 years of living in Southern California, Walker expects to soon be seen in the new music video from arguably the World's most famous R&B singer. Also, expect to see him dancing with professional athletic champions in a commercial shot just before he departs California.
As well, do read Film de Arte's recently released "Prolific Hollywood Talent Phillip E. Walker Interview" at
http://FilmDeArte.com. There, Phil muses in-depth about his more than half century performance career, while including sage advice for student performers who strive to make a living through their craft.
In addition to a 15 minute Q&A period at the end of his BTN lecture next Tuesday, Mr. Walker will be available throughout the total Conference from Sunday, July 24 thru Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Contact BlackTheatreNetwork.org to attend.
