SACRAMENTO, Calif. - July 21, 2022 - PRLog -- As demand for new entertainment expands exponentially, and Hollywood clumsily attempts to keep up by offering endless reboots and sequels, could a new Vampire franchise rise from the grave of Sacramento? Writers Johnny Bilson and Savannah Rayne created a Vampire gang for a feature film they're working to get made, The Lost Girls, which is set in 1987. Taking advantage of the reboot/sequel craze in the industry to introduce their gang to the world, they decided to show how an encounter between their gang and The Lost Boys might've gone, so they made the short, The Lost. Director Johnny Bilson hired some of the most talented filmmakers he could find, most of which are alumni of the film department at the recently closed Art Institute of Sacramento. The cast too were all Sacramento locals. Since this short features characters from the 1987 classic, The Lost is technically a fan film, so they're releasing it for free on the 35th Anniversary of The Lost Boys, July 31st, but they're not looking to make more fan films; they have much bigger plans for an entire franchise of their own. Be sure to watch their film when it debuts, and take a look at the latest trailer for The Lost: https://youtu.be/fzC6j9D2I4s
