ADAR is a vegan and sustainable footwear brand based in Florence, Italy. Our mission is to design ethical luxury products for women and men that value aesthetics and craftsmanship as much as sustainability.

We fully source and produce our sneakers in Italy. This allows us to ensure the highest quality but also, lower Co2 emissions due to shorter transport routes and good working conditions for everyone involved in the production. Our sneakers are hand-made by a small, family-owned manufacturer in Veneto, Italy. The region is infamous for its long-lasting tradition in shoemaking and a production place of many European luxury brands. We are proud to work with passionate artisans who consider shoemaking rather an art than just a craft.

It has been a beautiful, challenging and mostly rewarding journey so far. We went through rigorous material sourcing, a tireless search for the best manufacturing partners and a long prototyping process and quality & durability check. Now we can finally present to you the fruits of our labor, the Waver sneaker! We are filled with joy and pride to hold this sneaker in our hand, knowing it fulfills our high quality standards regarding sustainability, manufacturing practices, durability & comfort and premium & vegan materials.

It all started with researching innovative, vegan and sustainable materials. We were excited about what we found and the progress some manufacturers made over the last few years. We did not see enough innovation in the sneaker world. Especially when it comes to more design focused brands. Most of the sustainable or vegan brands have the same minimalistic approach. We created a fashion forward sneaker with sustainability and veganism at the core of our brand value.

We would just like to thank every backer for their support and believe in ADAR and our project. With the Waver sneaker you have a truly Italian made product of the highest quality while not harming any animals and using the planet's resources mindfully.
