SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - July 18, 2022 - PRLog -- Mondo is the Official Supplier of athletic equipment for the World Athletics Championships Oregon22, which are taking place in Eugene, Oregon, now through July 24.  WCH Oregon22 is the first World Athletics championships to be held in the United States.

As Official Supplier of athletic equipment, Mondo is providing the championships with its line of sports athletic equipment. Featuring a modern, dynamic design, the line was designed by Mondo in cooperation with World Athletics. It made its debut during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and was again used in March 2022 for the World Athletics Indoor Championships Belgrade 22.

The athletics equipment line that Mondo is supplying for Oregon 2022 comprises more than 50 different types of athletic equipment, for a total of approximately 700 items, including lane marker cones, hurdles, drop zones, high jump and pole vault stands and landing areas.

Several of the products feature elements designed to enhance the viewing experience for fans in the stands and those watching on TV by providing visual information about the competitions. Among the equipment's features is integrated LED technology that causes lights to activate as the events progress. The upright supports in the pole vault and high jump competitions have vertical LED stripes that can display jump validity and indicate when a new record is set. All of the LED-enabled elements are controlled from a touchscreen computer.

Mondo worldwide is very excited for the World Athletics Championships. This phenomenal global event is taking place in the United States for the first time, and Mondo is cheering the best track and field athletes in the world coming together in a celebration of diversity, human potential and athletic achievement.

But Mondo is already focused on Budapest, which will host next year's World Athletics Championships. From Aug. 19–27, 2023, the center of international athletics will again be in Europe, where fans around the globe will see that the queen of sports has never shone more beautifully, and athletes will compete on a new Mondo athletics track.

Prior to that, Mondo will be the Official Supplier of athletics equipment for the World Athletics U20 Championships Cali 22 August 1–6 in the Pascual Guerrero Olympic Stadium, which has a Mondo Mondotrack WS track, and for the European Championships Munich 2022 August 11–21.

Mondo Cares and Mental Health

The global leader in sports flooring and equipment, Mondo also has a mission to help athletes overcome the challenges they face. As part of a growing international focus and concern about athletes' mental health, Mondo Cares recently produced "I'm Fine, (Not) Really," a compelling documentary that examines the unhealthy relationship between elite athletes and their fans, and how the ever-growing demands athletes face have contributed to an increasing incidence of mental health issues.

The groundbreaking film features candid accounts of overcoming personal obstacles from Olympic athletes and legends, including Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Michael Johnson, Roderick Townsend-Roberts, Stacy Dragila, Shamier Little and Tori Franklin, along with insights from leading coaches and sports psychologists. "I'm Fine, (Not) Really" aired in North America and internationally throughout May and June. Watch the trailer here.

Mondo Cares also has developed the #PassTheBaton campaign to help young athletes reach their full potential and overcome their own limits. Through a series of videos, world class track and field athletes and coaches will offer their insights and advice to support and inspire young athletes as they face mental and physical challenges and obstacles.
