A Children's Chorus's Life-changing Experiences Around The World

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - July 15, 2022 - PRLog -- From June 19 through 30, 2022, the Jacksonville Children's Chorus (JCC) Touring Choir shared their talents overseas with performances in the Western Mediterranean visiting countries including Italy, Spain, and France.

Under the direction of President and Artistic Director Darren Dailey, the Touring Choir performed in the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, onboard the Norwegian Epic cruise ship, the Basílica de la Mercè in Barcelona, and the Basilica di Sant'Agostino in Rome.

In addition to their performances, the singers explored the beautiful sights and created lifelong memories. For many singers, this was their first time traveling internationally.

Touring Choir singer Erin says, "I've always wanted to visit France since I was a little kid!" Erin describes her excitement performing in Cannes. "Cannes was one of my favorite cities to visit on tour and it was a life-changing moment getting to perform." Singer Zianna says her favorite place to visit was Palma de Mallorca. "Mallorca had beautiful cathedrals and the most delicious food," says Zianna. "I'm thankful that JCC gives us singers the opportunity to see the world and experience different cultures."

"These experiences help develop the children as singers, ambassadors for and leaders in Northeast Florida," says Mr. Darren Dailey. " Through this tour, the singers have proved that they are members of a world-class children's chorus! These are memories that they will cherish for the rest of their life."
