PHOENIX - July 13, 2022 - PRLog -- PUBLIC INVITED TO LEARN ABOUT THE BENEFITS OF ROLFING AT A FREE OPEN HOUSE AND RIBBON-CUTTING CELEBRATION ON AUGUST 11, 2022

July 13, 2022 – Tempe, Ariz. -- Rolfing practitioner and leading posture specialist, Moylan Ryan, today announced the official grand opening of his new clinic in Tempe.  As part of his ongoing mission to help change as many lives as possible through posture and movement education, Moylan Ryan has expanded his services in a new wellness facility located at 4667 S Lakeshore Dr, Suite 3, in Tempe, Arizona 85282.   A Free Open House and ribbon-cutting celebration featuring education on Rolfing, wellness demos, a variety of food and drink options, and fantastic door prizes will take place on Thursday, August 11th from 3:30 to 7 p.m.

Created over fifty years ago by Ida P. Rolf, Ph.D., "Rolfing" is both a systematic approach to releasing stress patterns and dysfunction in the body's structure and an educational process of understanding the relationship between gravity and the human body.

When asked why he decided to expand his practice, Moylan Ryan points out that "Today, more people than ever need help and relief from chronic pain. Less active lifestyles, due to lockdown restrictions and working from home during the pandemic led many people to develop poor posture habits. Slouching and slumping impacts breathing and causes a wide range of health issues. Rolfing addresses both structural and functional aspects of chronic pain."

Dr. Rolf viewed the body as an architectural unit made up of several segments - head, shoulders, chest, pelvis, and legs. The position of each one is relevant to the others and is determined by the length and tone of muscles and fascia. When the segments are out of balance or misaligned, the body is forced to move in a limited or distorted manner. By manipulating the highly pliant connective tissue, so that it lengthens and glides instead of shortens and adheres, Rolfers assist the human body to reorganize its major segments into vertical alignment. When these body segments are balanced around a particular central vertical axis, the body can function with the most mechanical efficiency and ease.

"Rolfing is a whole-body treatment that takes place over ten sessions that were designed by Ida Rolf in the 1970s. In ten sessions we work systematically through the whole body, addressing issues such as breathing, core support, alignment and length," he added. "Working through the connective tissue, the fascia, Rolfing is a form of physical therapy that improves posture and treats chronic muscular-skeletal pain conditions, such as lower back pain, sciatica, forward head position, and rounded shoulders."
