CT Based Non-Profit Raising Hosting Local Art Show to Aid Medical Efforts in Ukraine

WETHERSFIELD, Conn. - July 13, 2022 - PRLog -- Maidan United was founded in 2014 when Russia invaded Ukraine. Since February, 2022, the organization has raised over $385,000 USD in cash donations, in addition to medical equipment. All donations have gone toward helping those impacted by Russia's attacks on Ukraine.

Connecticut based non-profit, Maidan United invites you to attend a fundraising event to benefit those impacted by the war in Ukraine.

On Sunday, July 31, 2022, we invite you to attend the unique art exhibition entitled "Blue and Yellow." The art featured will be from local Ukrainian and American artists who are showing their support for the crisis in Ukraine. The event will run from 2p-8p.

The event is sponsored by Quiver Spirits and will take place at Moxi on the Rocks at 87 Church St, East Hartford, CT 06108.

The attendees will be able to purchase all the artwork presented at the show with proceeds raised going towards helping Ukrainian civilians in need of medical care, as well as Ukrainian soldiers fighting on the front lines.

'The situation in Ukraine is dire. Especially when it comes to basic medical needs. Over 700 medical facilities were completed destroyed or damaged since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine. Innocent civilians, including children, are dying because it's impossible to get a hold of basic medications or the hospitals in their area have been bombed," says Natasha Sazonova, a volunteer for Maidan United and organizer of the art show.

"We're very grateful Ukraine is not alone in this fight and the American people are with us in this unfair fight against tyranny.  It's amazing to see so many Connecticut artists uniting to show their support for Ukraine and to help us raise funds for life-saving medical supplies for Ukrainians," she continued.
