Great Charity Work in McKinney
We choose one patient at a time and offer them free dental care to contribute to my charity's fundraising efforts. Our objective is to alleviate their suffering and instill in them the self-assurance they need to realize their aspirations for the future.
Today, we had the privilege of speaking with Prudence, an incredible individual who works at The Samaritan Inn in McKinney. She came to see me at the recommendation of her caseworker, who said that the oral problems she was experiencing made it difficult for her to find work.
Her narrative was awe-inspiring and terrifying at the same time. In a matter of years, she went from having the financial means to pay for costly implant dentistry to find herself during a personal fight over which she had little influence. Because of this, she lost everything and had to live on the streets. It was a chilling reminder that homelessness might strike anybody, even those who seem to have their financial lives under control.
She wanted me to fix her broken and discolored crowns so that she could smile with confidence again. She desired to regain her self-assurance before attending her next job interviews. Because I intended to make it happen that day, Prudence and we laboriously spent five long hours hand-carving her unique grin.
When it was all said and done, both she and we were overjoyed with the outcomes. Even while this is in no way a long-term solution, we should at least be able to take pride in what we accomplished together today.
