Subaru of Indiana Automotive announces supplier award winners

LAFAYETTE, Ind. - June 9, 2022 - PRLog -- Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA) has recognized 22 suppliers for exceptional performance over the past year.

"In a supply chain environment that has continued to prove challenging, we're thrilled to celebrate these 22 distinguished suppliers that have separated themselves by reliably providing high quality parts and excellent customer service," said Scott Brand, executive vice president at SIA.

Winners were recognized across four categories:

Special Recognition – Above and beyond effort as identified by SIA management

Commodity Leader – Top scoring supplier in commodity category

Excellent Performance – Achievement of SIA targets for safety, quality, cost and delivery

Superior Excellent Performance – Three and four consecutive years as recipient of the Excellent Performance Award

Six companies had the distinction of receiving both a Performance Award and a Commodity Leader Award. Recipients were honored during a ceremony on June 8.

"In order to build safe, dependable vehicles, we rely on nearly 260 suppliers to share our vision and commitment to quality," said Brand. "We commend the dedication these award recipients have demonstrated during difficult times."

SIA is Subaru's only manufacturing facility outside of Japan and currently makes the Ascent, Impreza, Legacy and Outback models for North America. Since beginning production in 1989, more than 6 million vehicles have been built. The following is the complete list of winners:
