Latin Children's Podcast Launches Fundraiser

YPSILANTI, Mich. - June 8, 2022 - PRLog -- Caballo Media Productions, a nonprofit based in the United States, has teamed up with Gone For a Run, to launch a virtual 1K/5K run to raise funds for the second season of The Perla Garcia Mysteries, a bilingual podcast for Pre-K to Third Graders. In making the announcement, the creator and writer of the podcast, Rodolfo Alvarado, stated, "During these tough economic and COVID times, when grants are far and inbetween, and an individual's well-being is of utmost importance, we felt that a virtual fun run was an ideal way to raise funds for the second season."

"A virtual fun run allows participants to complete a race on their own time and in an environment in which they feel safe," Alvarado added, noting that, "every participant will receive a custom t-shirt, medal, and race bib featuring Perla and Valiente." The Perla Garcia Mysteries Podcast, which was recently nominated for an International Latin Podcast Award, follows the mystery solving escapades of fictional sleuth Perla Garcia and her trusty sidekick, Valiente, a German Shepherd. The first season consisted of six episodes which are currently available on major streaming platforms. In the last episode of the season, La Llorona, El Cucuy, El Chupacabra and La Lechuza were revealed to be superheroes who are out to protect children from the evil powers that be. The podcast stars Latinos from New York City, Chicago, Michigan, Texas, Peru, Guatemala, and Mexico. The second season is slated for production in the fall of 2022.
