Lookdle - Pixelated Picture Guessing Game

GREATER MANCHESTER, U.K. - June 8, 2022 - PRLog -- Inspired by popular web games such as Wordle, Lookdle entertains with a new angle - guess the pixelated famous person in 5 tries. After a failed guess, the image becomes clearer, in theory making it easier. Every day there is a new celebrity picked from a roster of thousands from popular TV series, movies, and from across the music industry.

The app has been developed by two multi-media fans and lifelong friends, Carl and Lee from Manchester, United Kingdom. Carl conjured up the idea, noticing a lack of picture games, and then tasked his friend Lee, a full-time developer, to build it in his spare time, away from his hectic work schedule. Within a day a rough build was created and shared amongst friends, who all became suddenly quite obsessed. Over the following weeks, it was refined into a more user-friendly web app.

It's gained attention on social media and a regular player base, with over 100,000 players across the globe to date. Plans are afoot to create country-specific versions, expand game modes, and span different subject matters such as art and historical figures.
