Has Gen Z changed dating forever?

Dating apps, social media and the future of sex and relationships for Generation Z.
By:
NEW YORK - May 27, 2022 - PRLog -- This week, Gen Z intelligence firm dcdx released new research on Gen Z and dating.

In a poll of 351 Gen Z'ers, 2/3 (66%) said that dating apps were more harmful than helpful for their generation.

True:
Gen Z is sexting more than any previous generation.
Gen Z is watching more porn than any previous generation.
Gen Z has the ability to find and flirt with nearly any single person around the world.

Also true:
Gen Z is having less sex than any previous generation.
Gen Z will be getting married later than any previous generation.
Gen Z is going on fewer dates than any previous generation.

The question this research addresses: Is unprecedented access to relationships and sex causing Gen Z to reject and shy away from those same things?

Andrew Roth, the founder of dcdx, says about this unprecedented access:

"The state of relationships is so public that in a matter of days, the entire world can be talking about you and your partner. Remember Couch Guy? That is certainly a contributing factor to the overwhelming decline in dating among Gen Z'ers.
