Programs like this drive equity and close disparities within the profession of economic development, which will continue to be an area of focus for the IEDC," said Nathan Ohle, President & CEO of IEDC. "Congratulations to the first class of economic development organizations and fellows!"
"I am so grateful to IEDC for helping me to bring my vision of this program to life. I envisioned a program that would make an equitable impact within the field of economic development while positively influencing the lives of young people. I know that IEDC's Equity in Economic Development Fellowship Program will do just that," added Julie Curtin, President of Economic Development Practice at DCI.
